windows vista import wizard

i have a laptop with an sd card reader...when i put the sd card in
windows used to come up with the import wizard but it doesn't do that
anymore...anyone know why??

also when i got to view pictures in windows explorer it doesn't show
the picture even though i have the folder set to thumbnail view...anyone
help with these issues would be much appreciated..
