Date Taken and Date Modified
Hi,

I've got a couple of hundred video clips that I'd like to sort in "date
taken" order within Windows MovieMaker.
The problem is the "date taken" attribute in each of them is blank - only
the "Date modified" attribute details when the clips were shot. Although I
can sort on this attribute in explorer, I cant in MovieMaker.

Therefore, I'd like to automatically update the Date Taken attribute with
the Date Modified attribute for all the files in a batch process, or get
windows moviemaker to allow me to sort them by date modified...

Any ideas how I can do this?

thanks,
g.

I've got exactly the same problem. Possible solutions might include:

1. The filename is in date order DDMMYYYY. If I can find some batch filename editing software to reverse the date order, than I could order by date in Windows Movie Maker.
2. Find some batch tag editing software that will allow me to copy all the tags from date modified to date taken.
3. An update to Windows Movie Maker that would allow me to include the field date taken and order by it.

Any help would be most appreciated.
