here's how I'd do it...

acrobat > dragdrop photo to desktop (maybe that would work)

or

acrobat > photoshop > save as jpg

or

acrobat > screenshot > paint > save as jpg

windows photo gallery is a software which display some photo files, for
example like jpegs... pdf files which is opened w/ acrobat reader is another
entity.
