media player 11 on vista home

when Media Player is selected for use a error message appears
stateing " the file wmploc.dll has a version number of 11.0.6001.7000
where 11.0.6001.6344 was expected.

Media Player is not installed properly and must be reinstalled.

How do I remove and reinstall media Player ?

Type cmd in the Start Search box above the Start Orb. When cmd.exe appears at
the top of the Start Menu, right click on it and select "Run as Administrator".
Then type (or copy and paste) the following into the Administrator Command
Window:

unregmp2.exe /UpdateWMPVersion

Then press Enter and close the Administrator Command Window.

Restart your computer.
