VISTA: reinstall movie maker 6 (import mp3 problem)

Movie maker used to work perfect, now I can't import audio files (mp3)
anymore (undefined error).
I would like to reinstall MM.
How do I do that?

It is not possible to reinstall Vista system components.

What changed on this system before it broke? Do MP3s work in WMP still?
