Audio recording error message?
Hello there,

Please may someone advise me. I have Windows Vista Home Premium. I use Adobe
audition to record audio. I have been able to keep the settings on "record
microphone" and have been able to record audio onto Audition through my
microphone.

However, I also needed stereo mix to record output from the laptop. I
managed to work out how to do this and things were successful. However, I
also need to record the line input from the microphone at times as well. I
change the settings back from stereo mix to "record microphone" but now an
error message comes up saying:

Microphone Realtech High Definition Audio.
Error code: FF9-5-0044 (8000 4005).

I can still record in stereo mix, but it won't allow me to record from the
line in microphone settings.

Does anyone have any idea please how to overcome this? I have SP1 ready to
install but have heard a few people have had problems with SP1 so haven't yet
installed it.

Thank you!!
