WMP 11 Error

So i keep getting the error code C00D11B1 and ive tried everything on the
page what should i do to get rid of it?

Does this happen with every download, or just some? Does it happen with
audio, video or both?

Can you play the sample audio and video files on your computer?

Can you play the sample media files on this page, 'Windows Media Player
multimedia file formats' (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316992) ? This
Microsoft page is very useful you can test each format and then follow
the WMP error to find the proper CODEC.

That's a generic error. Click on the Web Help button on that error dialog:
what *URL* does it take you to?

That URL itself has a little bit of extra information in it that might be
relevant.
