What's the crash information for that failure according to the Problem
Reports and Solutions Center control panel on your system?

This is usually pretty easy to fix up once I have that date - it's usually
broken third party codecs that in XP would simply corrupt memory and "help"
your system become unstable or corrupt over time. Vista shuts down that
badness.
