sound lost

I scanned my system and found 2 trojans. I also uploaded the Vista Service
Pack 1 - now I have no sound. I have no clue why it "went away", just that
I'm really getting annoyed with the whole thing. the devices are working
properly and all the drivers and codecs are fine. I have no clue...Please
HELP ME!!
