Adjusting video slider controls in WMP11
Have Vista HP on a Dell 1525. When I play a WMA file, adjusting any of the
video settings slider controls has no affect on the quality of the video
playing, not even if I adjust the settings before clicking 'Play'. When I
play mpg files, however, adjusting the settings DOES result in the video
quality being changed corresponding to the whichever setting is changed.
What I can I do to solve this problem when playing WMA files? Is there some
setting I need to amend or do I need to download a file/codec? Any ideas
would be appreciated - thanks.

tool?
What video card does this system have?

Video card mobile intel 965 express chipset - latest driver available already
installed & WMP 11 fully up-to-date.. What should I be looking for in results
of WMP: Technical Information Support Tool? thanks.

Are the drivers up to date according to Windows Update or according to the
Intel web site? I seem to recall that card being problematic, so the Intel
web site may have better drivers there.

Support Tool: Nothing for you, that unfiltered list might be interesting to
me though - it's just a helpful dump that I'd sift through to see if there's
anything weird that might be overriding the player.

Have inow installed later driver (via Dell website - one rom Intel site
wouldn't instal.) No joy - problem still there.

OK, nothing jumps out from that list, it looks pretty clean.
There should be a Cyberlink PowerDVD update past what you have now if you
want to check for their updates, but otherwise nothing jumps out so far.
