Rotating a Video

Hi i have been sent a short video which i have downloaded and played it
using Media Centre unfortunately it was taken with a digital camera and
it plays on it's side , I have tried and successfully rotated it in
Windows Movie Maker but i don't seem to be able or i just don't
understand how to get it out of movie maker back to my video folder , i
get a choice of publish to my computer but that seems to be taking hours
and the video only lasts about 30 seconds so i gave up can anybody help

Cheers Dave

If Publishing is taking forever...it could
be due to an incompatible file format.

Maybe the following article will offer
some ideas:

File type compatibility with Movie Maker

Re: Rotating a Video

Thanks for the info , I can't understand why it should be so complicated
once i have rotated the video you would think it would be just a case of
save or move to where ever i want , think i might look for something
that will do it on Google

Cheers Dave

Video editing is complex...that's just the way it is.

If you find a good utility for rotating videos let us know.

Maybe something in the following articles would be worth a look:

VirtualDub
