Re: windows media player dll verson is always wrong
Courtesy of Zachd (a Microsoft employee):
Type cmd in the Start Search box above the Start Orb. When cmd.exe appears at
the top of the Start Menu, right click on it and select "Run as Administrator".
Then type (or copy and paste) the following in the Command window:
unregmp2.exe /UpdateWMPVersion
and press Enter.
Then restart your machine.
