Sorting photos by date AND time?

When my husband & I travel with our grown kids, we all pull out our digital
cameras and start ckicking away. When we come home and download them onto my
computer, we frequently have a great many photos of the same scenes but from
different views or perspectives.
I was wondering if I could sort the photos not only by date taken, but also
by TIME taken. When I put on a slide show I like to have the photos in
sequencial order so it flows in a logical manner.
