when listening to music.. it choppsssss

i dont know what else to do... i tried everything that everyone posted in
here... everytimes that i play music in any kind of application, and i go to
any website, and scroll down, it makes an annoying sound that chopps all the
music.... i have a sound blaster x-fi platinium and i downloaded the driver
straight from the official website. please HELP ME !! thank you
