WMVs freeze in Movie Maker since SP1

I have been using Movie Maker (Vista) for a year sucessfully, and now have a
problem. WMV format clips, when imported, will play start to end but will
freeze if I try to jump to different points the the clip. All other formats
work fine. In other words, I cannot edit WMV clips.

This is the first project I've attempted since SP1, and I think that it's
related somehow. I tried a system restore to just after SP1 with no results.

Please help!
