comm surrograte

I get a message saying "comm surrograte" stopped working, no solution found.

What is this? So far no apparent problems.

When does this message popup? I was getting it popup when I was browsing
a folder containing Music and/or Video ... try these steps:

Right click on Computer, and choose Properties
Click on Advanced System Settings, and then under Advanced, click
Settings
Select the "Data Execution Protection" tab, and then click “Turn on DEP
for all programs and services except those I select”
Click on the Add button, and then browse to
C:\Windows\System32\dllhost.exe
Click Open, and then OK
