RE: No audio with Windows Media Player 11 or Winamp on Vista!
Never mind, turns out rolling back the sound device driver then having it
update fixed everything somehow. Here's how to do so in case anyone else has
this problem:
1) Right-click on "My Computer" and click on "Manage"
2) In the window that opens, click "Device Manager"
3) Expand "Sound, video and game controllers"
4) Right-click on the device and click "Properties"
5) Click on the "Driver" tab, click "Roll Back Driver", then "Yes"
6) Restart your computer when prompted.
7) Once your computer has rebooted, repeat Steps 1-3
8) Right-click on the device and click "Update Driver Software"
9) Click on "Search automatically for updated software"
10) Restart your computer when prompted.
