Problem with saving and making dvd viewable

my fiance and I are having a baby together and recently we got a video of the 3d ultrasound and for some reason I'm unable to save it so that I can upload it online, the file opens up as a dvd but it has a menu-is it because it's not closed and i don't have a converter? I'd like to know what I need to do to make it happen because of course I want to share the video with everyone!
