SD HC memory cards

Hi my PC has a built in card reader, all was ok using a 1gb HD card, but on
using a 4gb SDHC my PC does not recognise it, it does not show in My
Computer. I have tried the Hotfix http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936825/but
still not working, anyone got any ideas.....please

I saw this note in the hot fix KB article does your computer have the
correct support?

"Note Specific hardware is required to take advantage of these new features.
For example, the computer must have a supported SD Controller to use SDHC,
SDIO SD, or MMC cards.

I belive it does, I contacted Dell initially, and they directed me to the
