Photo gallery opens wrong files! Emergancy HELP!

Hi.
I have Windows Vista Ultimate!
When i doubl-clicked on my jpg pictures which is located on my desktop,
photo gallery opens and it shows my recently imported pictures, not this
pictures which i double clicked!
Please HELP!
Any suggestions?

Are you sure you double-clicked a JPEG image and not a folder? What happens
if you right-click the JPEG image's icon and choose Preview?

What's the emergency? Is it life or death? Does it warrant paying a
