Could you verify what exact message you currently get when you go to the
Problem Reports and Solutions Center and check for solutions? I believe all
the responses should point you to a "how to unregister that codec" response
and none should point to the HP ViiV response.
I think people got pointed to the HP ViiV response because I believe that
was the last licensed redistributable for this unsupported codec.
You simply need to remove or unregister or uninstall this codec. It's not
supported on Vista.
How did it get installed to your system? Whatever software did that was
probably in error.
