Labelflash DVD+/-R/W peeing on my Wheaties

::I need to know if you have to have a special CD, (like CD-RW instead
of CD-R) to burn music from Media Player on a Labelflash DVD+/-R/W
drive. I tried a CD-R disc and it looked like it was burning, but then
I stopped the burn because I noticed there was a song that I didn't
want. When I tried to burn again, it acts like it won't recognize my
CD-R. I even tried a new CD-R and it won't recognize it either. Both
of them show they are blank in my computer. Help. This is
really peeing on my Wheaties. :sarc:::

most optical drives have a preferred brands type of blanks.
check the documents that came with the computer, or look it up on line.
