Vista 64 - Cannot Acquire Licenses / Can't Play DRM protected file

Hello,

I just upgraded to Vista Ultimate 64 bit. Seems like it was a mistake,
aside from the constant churning hard drive activity... I can't get any of my
DRM protected content to play, I also cannot watch movies on NetFlix.com. I
am constantly told by the websites that issue the DRM (not an actual person,
their automated response systems) to go to this page:
http://go.microsoft.com/FWLink?LinkID=34506 and install an upgrade. I have
done that 50836248967406346 times, it seems to make no effect.

I have no idea what to do and before I waste $60 contacting microsoft I want
to see if there is a normal fix for it.

I have patched every aspect of Vista and WMP as well, problem persists.

what exactly did you upgrade from? there is no upgrade from 32 bit
to 64 bit as such.

I fixed the issue by deleting my DRM data.

It wasn't a software upgrade, I went from Windows XP to Vista 64. So the
technical term fo upgrade doesn't apply, sorry!
