View DNG files in Explorer

I cannot find a codec to view .dng image files in Windows Explorer or Windows
Photo Gallery. The only one is from Ardfry.com, costs $$.
Is there an add-on or update available for Vista 32 from Microsoft?

thanks for taking the time, John, I'll try the photoviewer. I hope dng is
supported by Windows soon as it is fast becoming an industry standard for
serious photographers.

There's a list of software that supports DNG at this link. IrfanView and
Gimp are two of the freeware apps on the list.
