Windows Vista Media Player

Some CD's I play in the windows media player do not pick up certain voices.
This also happens when I download the same song from the internet. This has
happened on 2 occasions Eleanor Rigby (Beatles) and California Dreamin (Mamas
& Papas). The male voices just do not project through and all that plays is
the music or on the case of the latter song, the female voices only.

I would be grateful for any help as I am at a loss as to what to do. Many
thanks.
