Burning two songs together - to merge

Is there any way to "merge" two songs - for example, on INXS' Need You
Tonight and Mediate, on the original CD, one leads into the other without any
pause, but when I try to burn it to another CD, there is a five second pause
as if it's two separate songs. Is there a function in the burn or rip area
that would allow the second song to start immediately after the first one?
