Movie Importing
I was wondering if it is possible to import (and save) DVDs (like Harry
Potter) on the computer. I have no clue whether they are MPGE3 or jpg or
whatever it is I just want to import the DVD and get it over with! (sorry if
I sound crabby, I've been battling with my computer for the last hour)

Re: Movie Importing
Yes and no.

First, you have to realise they are copy protected and by putting them on
the hard drive of your PC, you are breaking the law.

Secondly, the files are in VOB format. You can do what you want, but not
without encryption breaking software, most of which are now discontinued by
force, courtesey of those nice people in Hollywood. You can google and see
if you can find old copies...DVDShrink, DVD Decrypter etc.
