Converting Ripped CD Audio to mp3 file

Hi! I'm new here and I could really use some help. I have a cell phone that
has a music player. I thought if I bought a Micro SD adapter, all I would
need to do would be to put music on the card and pop the card into my phone.
However, my phone will only recognize the files that were originally put into
my Media Player as mp3 files.

Would any of you know how I could convert my ripped cd music to a mp3 file
so that I can use the microdisk to listen to music on my phone?? I would
greatly appreciate any help offered.

Play the Cd using Windows Media Player. Hit the "RIP" button and select
more options and then on the "rip musice tab" to change the codec to
MP3 from WMA ( the default also note where it will be saved to in that
window, or select another folder if you wish) and then right click on
the ablum near the top left and select "rip" Viola.
