Re: Saving pictures to desktop folder
First I make a "new folder" for my pictures and give it an appropiate
name ( such as "golf_8") then then I Plug in the USB cable from my
camera
( don't like to handle the memory card too much) turn on the camera
and then click "my computer" icon on my desktop, another removable disk
will be there.
Then I explore that disk and find the DCIM folder, in that folder
there will be a folder called 101MSDCF Or some such name open that
folder and you will see all your pictures simply select all and copy and
paste to the above folder. I then delete all the pictures in the
101MSDCF folder if I want. Then I open my "new folder" click on "edit"
then "select all", right click and click on rename and take the first
string of letters and change DSC ( leaving the sequential numbers) to
something like Golf_08 and all my pictures are renamed so I know what
they are. This I find handy when making a sildeshow, the pictures should
come up in the same sequence that they were taken in with your digital
camera.
