What programs work with Vista to burn DVDs!

Brand new computer, brand new Nero 7 Ultra Edition. Never had any problem on
old computer with XP. Now it just shuts down while burning the DVD in Nero
or even the Windows DVD Maker. I'm very, very frustrated. And, yes, I did
try the classic mode. Didn't work.

DVD Maker does work. So does the Burn button. I would uninstall the Roxio
program and see if the built-in features work then. If they don't, try to
find an updated driver for your DVD drive. Then see if the built-in stuff
works. Once the built-in stuff works, you know your drive works. Then you
can decide if you want to re-install the Roxio program.

your problem is Nero 7, sometimes compatible....sometimes not.

uninstall it and try burning with dvdmaker and see if it works.

got Nero 7.7.5.1 and the problem is there.
So... I renamed C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Ahead\DSFilter\nevideo.ax as per recommendation of the
website, an the problem persists.
Then looking at the crash info dialog, i found nevideoHD.ax as the
responsible of the crash.
After renaming it......THE PROBLEM DISAPPEARED!!!
