dvd maker preview mode shut down
when burning a movie to dvd, if preview mode is viewed computer locks up,
then screen goes black, but computer remains running, (had to unplug it to
shut down). First time this happened blue screen came up and eventually had
to wipe hard drive. second time(thought issue had been resolved), it simply
rebooted. both times this happened when in dvd maker preview mode. If this
has happened to any one or know why please help, I obviously wont be using
dvd maker again unless this is figured out. Is Vista really this unstable.
Mac is looking more and more appealing knowing microsoft released a product
with so many issues.

Re: dvd maker preview mode shut down

If the computer is locking up and blue screening, that's not something DVD Maker itself is really *capable* of doing. That would likely be a hardware failure that really really needs to be looked into.

http://vistasupport.mvps.org/disable...mess ages.htm
has some basic information on how to work with that. But if you go to a local computer shop and tell them you're hitting a blue screen, they should likely be able to direct you further.
