burning video files.

Please help, I have no problem burning video files to disc but I do have a
problem if the disc is longer than 120 minutes. Instead of giving me an
option to use two discs for a file longer than 120 minutes windows media
player just says the file is too big for the disc.
Is there a way so that files over the size of the disc can be put onto two
discs, i cannot find a way and its becoming very frustationing.
I would be grateful for any advice, thankyou so much.

split it up with Windows Movie Maker?
