Will the photo screensaver affect the quality of JPEG files it sho

I've heard that opening and closing JPEG files will gradually lessen the
quality of JPEG images, but does that also apply to screen savers or the
slide show gadget in the sidebar (using Vista)?

The picture wil only be saved after you have made changes (contrast, red eye
etc.). Repeated savings of jpg's will lessen the quality. Better first save
your jpg in the losless tif format when you expect reapeated changes.
