Photographs appear red, mean while everything else looks normal

I just transferred images from an old PC to my new vista machine, and the
operating system and all the programs are displaying correctly. Thumbnails of
photographs display correctly thought but when I open up photographs the
photographs are saturated with too much red. Any thoughts or ideas on what
can be the problem? Like I said everything else on the operating system is
displaying correctly just not photographs while being viewed.
