picture retrieval after cropping

You might also try right-clicking the picture's icon in its folder and
choosing Previous Versions.

If you cropped an image and saved it...
the original has been overwritten (replaced).

When you save an edited file...always use
'Save As' and give the edited version a
different name. This way you have both files.

Open the picture and go to...
File / Revert to original.

Next time, before you mess with the original, right-click it and make a
copy. Then crop the copy. Then you'll have both.
