You might also try right-clicking the picture's icon in its folder and
choosing Previous Versions.

picture retrieval after cropping
I lost my original picture after I cropped and printed it. Anyone know how I
can go back to the original? THis is very important to me. I had no idea
what I would do would be permanent.

If you cropped an image and saved it...
the original has been overwritten (replaced).

When you save an edited file...always use
'Save As' and give the edited version a
different name. This way you have both files.

Also try the following:

Open the picture and go to...
File / Revert to original.

Next time, before you mess with the original, right-click it and make a
copy. Then crop the copy. Then you'll have both.
