I dunno, but the formatting takes some space.
I have a 650 MB CD-RW, formatted UDF, and it shows 483 MB total.
BTW, many posters on here recommend just throwing away RW disks and just
using DVD-R, since the DVDs hold so much more, and are so cheap (I just
bought 100 for $35), and problems with RW disks not being read in other
computers.
