My computer disappeared completely !

Just after midnight my computer dissapeared completely from my desk.
This is the worst bug I have ever experienced. The mouse is still there but
whatever I try, my computer doesn't become visible. Is this a a known
phenomenon or is typical for the Vista environment? I have a Intel 4300 Dual
Core 1.8 GHz, 1 Gb Ram and 200 GB HD.
Please help! This is really a lousy way to start 2008.

Right-click Desktop. Select Change desktop Icons. And put a checkmark beside
it
