Viewing MP3 files & photos in Vista

My son copied some MP3 files and photos onto several DVDs. When I try to
view the files in Vista, I see nothing. If I use XP (I have a dual boot
set-up) I can view and use the music and photo files. Can anyone suggest how
to fix my Vista problem?
