Trnsferring pictures from hard drive to memory stick

Hi guys,
I am trying to transfer some pictures from my hard disk to a removal memory
stick but get a strange error which reads:

"An unexpected error is preventing the operation. Error code 0x80070052 -
Directory or file cannot be created"

The memory stick has nearly 1.5 GB of free space, and I'm trying to transfer
approx 100 MB. Can anyone help?

If the stick is formatted as FAT, you may have too many files in the root
folder

Are you creating a folder on the drive to transfer to? If not, try that.
