WMP 11 error.

I get an error either when I start up WMP 11 or when I try to play any
music/video file. Or the program will immediately close after double clicking
something in the library. This is also affecting Windows Media Center, not
allowing me to play and videos because either an absence of a coded, or the
video will just play black with audio. This is the following error I receive.

"The exception unknown software exception ( 0xc06d007e) occurred in the
application at location 0x75d63843"

Theres no way to uninstall it or reinstall it because you get another error,
that says you cant install previous versions of the player.

Forgot to mention that none of my Windows Vista Ultimate Extras are available
after I reinstalled windows.

When Windows Media Player crashes, you should get a fault event. Have you
gone to the Problem Reports and Solutions center and checked for solutions?
What's the fault data according to that?
