Movie maker preview pane

Can load video to story board but when I try playing in preview pane it
plays sound but shows a blank green screen

For what file format?
Generally WMV should be a lot easier to work with than AVI.

did you recently update your graphic card driver? I had the same problem
after windows vista downloaded an upgrade driver for my graphic card (which i
thought it was weird...didnt know that vista did that for graphic cards
automaticly). I had the drivers "rolled back" to the previous version and
the green screen went away. worked perfectly fine after. hope this help

I copied and pasted my work into a new project and it worked!! Maybe that
will work for you.
