Windows Explorer Thumbnail View

I have Vista Ultimate 64-Bit, and for some reason today it stopped showing
all image and video thumbnails. It tries to load them for a split second and
then they disappear and am left with just the generic thumbnail view. I tried
running disk cleanup and deleting thumbnails but that did not fix. I read
some similar posts and have checked all my folder settings and have checked
and unchecked everything that needs to be. I even ran system restore and that
still didn't work. Any help from any one would be greatly appreciated. Thank
you in Advance.

Are you getting any crashes in the Problem Reports and Solutions center?

I experienced a similar problem in the last couple of days where windows
explorer on Vista Home Premium would collapse if the thumbnail view was
selected. It turned out to be a corruption in the thumb.db file in the
folder itself. I moved the pictures to another folder, removed the
thumb.db file and then moved the pictures back in batches to check
things worked ok.

Now all are back in place and everything works as it should do... hope
