Windows Vista Home Premium and Ultimate will play DVDs out of the box either
in Windows Media Player, or Windows Media Center.

Knowing the error message that is thrown up would be helpful. Without that
my two stabs in the dark would say that a 3rd party MPEG2 decoder is
installed that doesn't work properly, or possibly an outdated video driver.

Thanks for answer. Meanwile I obtained Roxio gadget fo Vista, installed it
and... same result. I'm not an expert on media issues but... I have this DVD
(Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus, December 11, 1968) send from our local
TV station as some reward for donation (support). I tried to play it on XP,
Vista and now Vista with add-ons. Ther results are the same: can't play this
movie When I start it shows abt. 1.5 minutes, then same track is playing
itself all around.
Yes, I can sometime play this movie (what's a pleasure - old times) after I
started to chack in Explorer tracks. Somewhere in the middle of this disk I
fouded a serie of continous tracks that can play this movie from the title
to the credits - all that.
I suspect that somethig might be wrong with this DVD: maybe somene
mismatched track copying this DVD?
Greetings to Britain.
