Audio files record at different speed than original source
Whenever I record from the SPID (optical input) on my sound card it is very
clean, but the speed of the audio file is faster than the original source. I
have tried recording with Total Recorder, Roxio 9 and 2 other audio recording
software, but all of them record faster. I have tried playing the files that
I recorded on 2 other computers (XP WMP11) and the same problem so it seems
that the problem is when it is when being recorded and not playing. I also
verified it by recording the same song on an XP machine running the same
programs, the XP machines recorded at the correct speed with the same sound
card. I even bought a different sound card and the problem is still there. I
read about changing the hardware acceleration in the WMP forum, but if I
remember right, Vista doesn't support hardware acceleration for the sound
card. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Brian
