music continues to play after closing Media Player

I can X out of MP while listening to an audio track and it continues to
play, even though MP has closed.
If I ctrl-alt-del, Default IME is listed in a running state in Applications.
If I End Task this file, the music stops.

Then an windows error pops up saying Media Player is not responding an
searching for a solution.
I get a Send Report and it has these details:
