Vista refuses to print pictures
The fact that Windows Photo Gallery (WPG) won't release File Association to
any other program isn't the issue - that's fort later. The problem is, I put
a CD in the drive, view a picture and when I try to print the pic, Vista
informs me that it can't find the picture, that "...might have specified the
wrong location, or you have lost access to the networ location." Duhh! It's
the in the same location as that which is being viewed by the same program
that can't find it???? The printer is not on a network, it's on the Vista
machine and if Vista's WPG can display it, why can't it assume the picture
location is the same as the one being previewed.
Why needs to be fixed/patched/tweaked in order to get a print out of Vista.
BTW - the printer works fine. Everything is brand new. The printer is online,
and can print via Word.
It would be great if I could get this thing to do one thing - even as simple
as printing a picture. Vista programing smacks of Homer Simpson.
