WMF files don't preview in Folders or File dialogs

I can't seem to set a folder or file dialog to preview WMF files. JPG, GIF,
PNG etc preview OK. Vista Home Premium.

They import OK to applications, including IE7, but no preview in the
dialogs.

Googled it and found lots of info about a security problem, but not how
Vista approached it.

Any way to enable WMF previewing, or should I not try?

Sorry about cross posting - tried this in general with no response.
