Media Player problems with Vista

Can anyone shine a light on this one. I have a compact video camera which
records onto SD cards in AIF format.
I can download these onto my PC via USB cable no problems, the problem
occurs when I want to play them
If I use my business Dell Laptop running XP pro SP2, and Media player 11
version 11.0.5721.5145, everything is great
If I use my home Laptop (Toshiba Satellite L30-105) with Vista Home Basic
and Media player 11 version 11-0-6000-6324, it cannot find the correct codec,
and the windoze website says I need the Microsoft ADPCM Format (2) codec. I
can't find that anywhere?

Am I going to have to start transferring codecs from one to the other, or is
there something I'm missing somewhere
