Wont play DVDs

My machine won't play any dvds although it did with xp. The video is
corrupted but sound is ok.

Try turning down the hardware acceleration on your video card advanced
settings. I suggest starting with it all the way down as a test. If that
works, you can bring it up one notch at a time to see if it will work any
higher.

I had the same problem with the codec's, I got WIN AMP and Media Player
Classic which can found on Google to correct the problem

,Unfortunately the Microsoft suggestions do not work, the help system sends
you to a non effective site to down load the missing codec, its not a
solution . What I have used is the above mentioned players until MS works
out the bugs, and I can now view my video's and Video files, Good luck to
