iTunes with a clean Vista install?
I know iTunes has issues under Vista; however, if I have a 'clean'
install of Vista, can I install iTunes under that with little or no
issues? Anyone have that experience?

Re: iTunes with a clean Vista install?
Probably no difference. If anything there are usually less problems with
clean installs but nearly all beta testing is done under clean install
conditions. I'd contact Apple and ask when a Vista compatible version will
be released. It's not like they haven't known it's been released, it was in
testing for well over 18 months.

I know people keep referring to all sort of issues while trying to run iTune
on a Vista system. On the other hand I am running iTunes to update my iPod
Nano on a Vista Ultimate x64 (yes, x64) and I've had no issue whatsoever so
far.

There are a few who have had no problems with iTunes/QuickTime since Vista was
released. However, the great majority have been unable to use the mp4s/m4ps
downloaded from the iTunes store.

I am one of them. I will simply wait until Vista-compatible versions of
iTunes/QuickTime are released, then revisit the problems. If they are still
not fixed, goodbye Apple forever.

I really hate to lose all the money I've spent on that store, but hey, what's
money for, anyway?

Re: iTunes with a clean Vista install?
It would serve apple well to get of their asses and fix any problems with
iTunes, that is if they want to sell more IPods. We all know how big a share
of the market PC's have.

You are right. But it would make more sense to make that point on an Apple
newsgroup. But their newsgroups are moderated and they don't let people
talk badly about them.

Try comp.sys.mac.advocacy. But only if you are adventurous or a masochist.
The last I visited they weren't moderated.
